Expect to be greeted by park personnel in authentic costumes. These costumes are being designed specifically to provide this event with that extra special atmosphere. Costumes have been designed for the watch inside the tomb, the watch outside the tomb and the guards. The cashiers have even got their own outfit. Levenslijn Kinderfonds is known to all of us. The Blankenberge Sand Sculpture Festival supports this good cause in a very individual and special way: you can literally provide the bricks and mortar for this cause by purchasing a brick that can then be playfully decorated with your name, and by placing that brick in the Levenslijn-pyramid that we are going to build together. The proceeds from each brick will go to Levenslijn. The Terca Company, well known for their high quality internal building bricks, has provided all of the bricks (the more than 10,000 needed to reach the top of the pyramid) free of charge The atmosphere of Ancient Egypt will be created by means of a Soek (traditional market): an authentic Egyptian market displaying ancient crafts such as glass blowing, sand painting, drawing on papyrus, engraving scrolls and much, much more. Definitely worth a visit, you might even uncover a souvenir that you could have found in Egypt! Welcomes you to the Blankenberge Sand Sculpture Festival 2002 site and hopes you enjoy yourself. 2004 Nederland
